NPLD - National Public Lands Day
Rasor Road Oct. 10, 2010

NPLD - On a beautiful warm day in October, about 50
friends of the desert got together to clean it up. The
friends that we are talking about are many volunteers
from the staff at BLM, workers from the
Beacon Station
located at the Rasor Road exit on the I-15 freeway along
with Friends Of Rasor Road. The day went flawlessly with
many great moments. From erecting a fence at the freeway
exit to help prevent trash from blowing from the freeway
onto the public land, to installing new kiosk signs at
both the Rasor Road and Basin entrances to the
Rasor Road OHV area, to installing a new sign making
OHV'rs aware of the transition from BLM to NPS land at
the entrance of the Devil's Playground at the north end
of the Soda Dry Lake.
After the
event was completed, Rose Beardshear and her team put on
a fully sponsored FREE BBQ and it was awesome. We had a
great day and look forward to doing this again.
